Sarah Christine isn't your typical singer/songwriter. Hailing from the ski Mecca of Aspen by way of Minnesota, she moved to Colorado to be closer to the outdoors, and the outdoors have responded in kind, providing inspiration for songs like "Aspen", which you'll hear on this episode.
As you'll soon hear, Sarah is a wonderful songwriter and even cooler human being, and we're proud to select her as our featured Colorado artist for February 2021. We begin our series with Denver's own, and our friends, The Mazlows. The Mazlows are a pop punk powerhouse that hails from Denver, Colorado. Formed in 2017, the four-piece band released their debut album "Community Locker" in August 2020 after a year and a half in the making.
You might recognize The Mazlows as one of the acts that performed on The Hallow Stream, our Halloween streaming fundraiser we did back in October, and this episode comes from that session. Recorded and mixed at The Keep studios in Denver by engineer Nick Sullivan, The Mazlows were kind enough to perform several songs from their new album "Community Locker". Loudspeaker is also partnering with The Mazlows to bring "Community Locker" to vinyl through our ColoRadio Selects program. Pre-orders are now available with shipping in early 2021.
