Lovecraft, Horror, and Rats The FURNCast

    • Leisure

The FURNcast returns, with episode 23. In this one, Liam and Nathan are joined by all-round cool cat Heather, from the Valkyries. They get together to discuss Lovecraft, the Cthulhy mythos, and media related to that, and some rats and magic.
In part 1, they discuss and review Colour out of Space, the first Lovecraft book adaption to see the big screen, and how much of a fan of horror they actually are. The conversation move forwards into a discussion of the 2018 Call of Cthulhu video game, from Focus Home Interactive and Cyanide that Liam recently streamed on Twitch, and how well that followed the "rules" of a horror game.
In part 2, the Call of Cthulhu discussion continues, but this delves into the RPG by Chaosium, and the home game campaign that Liam recently ran for Nathan and a few others, covering first impressions from both sides of the screen. Finally, they wrap up the episode with a talk about rats, mystical blood magic, and immersion-breaking game mechanics, doing a review of A Plague Tale: Innocence from Focus Home Interactive and Asobo Studio.
