The guys bring on a special guest, Kris Johnson! Kris works with Tyler and continues to grow in his expertise, skills, and responsibilities at Westfall Wood Co. (WWC). Kris starts off with how he met Ty and Doggy before he discusses his role at WWC and the skills he brings to the team. The guys make fun of Kris for his initial speed at sanding cutting boards before building him up a little bit.
The guys talk about 3D drawing vs. pencil sketches - the pros and cons for both quick sketches and detailed sketches for yourself and for the client. Kris brings up sharpening knives and chisels, and how Tyler has never seen (or used) a chisel in his life; he discusses day-to-day operations at WWC and the tasks he takes on as the first "employee."

Stud Spellers!
Helped me finally finish a crossword puzzle that had stumped me for days. 29 Down is Epoxy with an “E” not what I thought was Apoxy with an “A”. These guys are killer spellers and even better woodworkers. Keep it up!
One of my favorite woodworking pods
There are a lot of pods out there but this one has quickly become my favorite. Tyler and Bryan are super talented and knowledgeable guys who deliver information in a very easily digestible way. Far to many pods go so deep in the weeds on techniques and business that it becomes a burden to comb through the hour and a half of talking to find the points you inevitably forgot. These guys are straight to the point and succinct. I’ve been able to put many tips in to practice right after listening to the pod. I appreciate you both more than you know. Keep up the great work!
Postcards To Home
Undisclosed Location, AZ
It all started when I started becoming friends with Tyler from the Maker Made podcast that I had to take my life on the road and become a nomad. I was telling him how much I enjoyed the pod and find the content relatable and helpful. We continued to talk and he casually mentioned dropping a review to which I gladly said I would do. As time passed and my review never got posted (life’s busy man) I started to notice an unmarked van around my neighborhood day in and day out. I soon realized it was for me and was sent by the boys at the Maker Made podcast due to my lack of posting a review. I had no choice but to sneak away and leave my family for the time to keep them safe. I continued to listen to the podcast leaving no review for fear that my location would be revealed, so I only sent postcards home to update my family of my rough whereabouts. I decided the best thing to do was head to the source and make amends to one day be reunited with my loved ones. So I head to the place where it all started and make amends. It is with great joy that this will be my last postcard as I am finally able to head home again!
All joking aside this is a great podcast and Tyler and Doggie kill it. Love hearing their stories and insights and learning from them. You won’t regret listening to this podcast at all!
