Jeremiah 29:1-14
This message speaks to the ways the people of God have thrived over the millennia. At times, they had their own capitol city, temple, nation, and earthly king. At other times, they were in exile and living under the power of pagan rulers who didn't share their values or forms of worship. Which was better for the spread of God's truth? You may be surprised to know that there were advantages and pitfalls to each. We need to know which one most matches our times, and how to adjust biblically!

1 Peter 2
We all know Christians aren't always all we're cracked up to be. One of the most common objections to our faith is the bad examples and hypocrisy that believers sometimes display. We need to find ways to be both authentic and commendable when others watch our lives. When others see our faith, we want them to see what Jesus can do with messed up people, not how great we pretend to be. We have been sent into exile among the nations in order to be a shining light and display of God's splendor; when this happens, he draws people to himself!

Romans 12
This message speaks about culture and who's forming who in our interactions with it? Do we make more of an impact on culture, or does it make more of an impact on us? We all like to keep up with the trends, tastes, and topics society focuses on. When it comes to culture, though, we are either acting as consumers or creators. If we use God's gifts to create new little bits of Kingdom reality on earth, we will see lots of Christ-led transformation; if we consume the delicacies of the world undiscerningly, we will slide into tragic compromise. 

Psalm 2, Revelation 21:22-22:5
In this message series, we will look into the biblical view of culture. Are we supposed to blend in as believers, cry out as prophets, infiltrate and influence, or bail out and preserve ourselves for God? Or is it a little of all these things? This series will work through passages that help us live as resident aliens and ambassadors on behalf of our King. This message seeks to set a clearer idea of the difference between culture and God's Kingdom, as well as defining the relationship between the two.

Mark 15-16
Resurrection Sunday's Message 
The Bible shows us that Jesus' death, burial, and resurrection are the miracles that unleashed the Church in mission. The transforming power of the living Christ changed the course of human history and is still changing the course of individual lives, families, and people groups. We can certainly attest to the fact that Jesus is alive and working today - he can rescue and heal you, too! 

Mark 11-13
What happens when Jesus arrived in Jerusalem for the final time in his earthly ministry? He was greeted well, but it quickly became clear that he was more than just a celebrity. At the Triumphal Entry, Jesus rolled into Jerusalem as a new sheriff with higher authority than any of their existing leaders. As he taught and debated religious leaders, he laid down the Law as it was originally intended.
