Wednesday, May 1st, 2024- Mike Zuzolo and Paula Sonnabend
It was Fed Day on Wednesday as the Federal Reserve held benchmark interest rates steady and gave no indication of when they could start to cut rates. That news, coupled with more bird flu headlines impacting cattle and general volatility surrounding the start of a month led to a mixed trade on the day.
We discuss charts, the poor end of April for wheat, headline news and more on today's show with Mike Zuzolo from Global Commodity Analytics. Learn more at https://www.globalcommresearch.com.
Also at the end of the show, we talk the importance of having a marketing plan with farmer and grain market analyst Paula Sonnabend from CLUTCH in Segment Four. -

Friday, April 26th, 2024- Kristi Van Ahn-Kjeseth and Steven Heightchew
We saw the wheat markets continue their upward trend on Friday with corn and soybeans slightly lower and all grains off session highs by the close. Did May options expiration play a role in the late session fade? Should you be looking out to deferred contracts to make some forward sales? Kristi Van Ahn-Kjeseth with Van Ahn & Company believes so and she joins us to talk about that and more on the show. Find more at https://www.vanahnco.com.
Also, we discuss the "Power of the Shovel" and why it's important for early season scouting and crop establishment with AgriGold agronomist in southern Indiana, Steven Heightchew. Learn more online at https://www.agrigold.com.
