    Welcome to Mat Quest! I'm Ray Yagloski, and I'm excited for our journey to get healthier and perform better. I am a former college wrestler, a current Jiu-Jitsu practitioner, and a fitness, nutrition, and wrestling coach. With this podcast, I want to help you do your best on and off the mat.

    I'm not a DI NCAA champion or a doctor, but I love to learn and improve myself. I learned a lot about training and eating well after 10,000+ hours in the gym and 9 certifications. I've spent 15+ years on the mats both practicing and coaching wrestling and Jiu-Jitsu. I've been lucky to be in the corner for 40 state champion wrestlers as an assistant coach. It takes a tribe to build champions. I want "Mat Quest" to be one of those resources grapplers can go to get better.

    But the important thing is that we're all on this journey together and we are all striving. It doesn't matter if you're starting out or if you're already good. It doesn't matter if you are a new wrestling parent or a seasoned wrestling coach. Mat Quest can and will help you.

    Three things make this podcast unique. 1) We will cover all things off the mat. We will cover lifting weights, conditioning, flexibility, mobility, myofascial release, strength training, power work, speed, breathing, mindset, and much more. 2) We will use grappling as a means to learn life lesson and become a better person. 3) I will draw from well known books, scientific research, coaching experience and wrap them up into simple lessons and engaging stories.
