The program draws on the rich community of Chicago-based musicians as well as a roster of international artists who are visiting the city.     Shortly after forming during the COVID-19 pandemic, the Galvin Cello Quartet captured the Silver Medal at the 2021 Fischoff Competition, and won the Concert Artists Guild’s 2022 Victor Elmaleh Competition. Cellists Sihao He, Sydney Lee, Haddon Kay, and Luiz Fernando Venturelli met as students at Northwestern University’s Bienen School of Music in the studio of acclaimed pedagogue Hans Jørgen Jensen. This extraordinary group returns to WFMT for a performance on Live From WFMT.
