Cardiff University's Politics Society introduces its debut podcast: Meet Your Lecturers!
Our committee sits down with staff and academics from the School of Law and Politics at Cardiff University to discuss how they're handling working from home, and their past experiences and research.

Dr Thomas Leahy
It's that time already – it's our final episode! This week, Thomas Leahy joins Sports Sec Calla Cambrey.
Thomas discusses his journey to Cardiff, via. London, and his study of both Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland. He discusses the importance of connecting with the public via. academia, and how he's coped with working at home during lockdown. It also turns out his favourite band at the moment is "Nothing But Thieves".

Dr Rosie Walters
For our penultimate episode, treasurer Morgan Perry is back, with Dr Rosie Walters in the hot seat.
Rosie tells us all about the switch from languages to politics and international relations. The pair discuss the mountain that is getting a job with the Red Cross in Geneva, and starting out as a lecturer at Cardiff University. We also hear about Rosie's unfortunate running injury and how she's been looking after herself in lockdown.

This week, society social media secretary Phoebe Mansfield sits down with Dr Peri Roberts, who lectures in Political Theory. We hear all about Peri's love for lecturing and all things justice and equality. He also tells all about his trip to Athens, and his wife's many pets.

President Georgia Keen is back to speak to Dr Ian Stafford.
The pair discuss (pre-election) Ian's hopes for the US Election, and his exotic trips around Wales and the UK. We also hear about Ian's coping mechanisms for lockdown, and the progress on his bathroom refurbishment.

Dr Jennifer Allan
In our second instalment of Meet Your Lecturers, society president Georgia Keen sits down with Dr Jennifer Allan.
The pair discuss Jen's time at the UN, how she's been coping during lockdown, as well as keeping in touch with family in a different time zone. We also hear all about that time she met Ban Ki-Moon, and the legendary David Attenborough.
