Kudos to NPS

This podcast is a wonderful and insightful look into the history of Mesa Verde. This podcast also explores the ethics of the NPS’s work and what is taken into consideration in preserving the park. Huge kudos to NPS for considering and partnering with the descendants of the ancestral Pueblan peoples of the four corners region. I was thoroughly impressed — the production quality was fantastic. Scope & Purpose Seems to Have Changed

I found the first nine episodes of Meda Verde Voices to be completely fascinating, impeccably organized, highly educational and also quite entertaining. A five star rating for sure! I’ve listened to all of these first nine episodes several times over, always finding some new nugget of information I’d missed on a previous hearing. But the past four episodes — all posted in December 2018 — have been pretty disappointing. Not that the content isn’t interesting, but the focus has shifted away from intriguing facts and theories of the ancient peoples of the Mesa Verde region to exploding a variety of general topics about Mesa Verde National Park — artists in residence, social media’s impact on the park, etc. I subscribed to this podcast because I’m always thrilled to learn more about the life of both the ancestral and contemporary puebloans, and I’m saddened that this no longer seems to be the primary subject of each episode. Any possibility of returning to the earlier focus? I probably won’t keep listening if not.

I adore the podcast and the hosts

this podcast is super informative. I learned about it when visiting the museum at spruce treehouse and I’m so glad I decided to give it a listen! I never thought I’d be listening to a podcast about ancient puebloan peoples but here i am, loving it!
