Midwifery and Beyond with Renata Lardelli The Fourth Trimester

    • Kids & Family

The fourth trimester? What is it? What does that even mean? We've done the hard yards with the pregnancy and the birth, can't we just focus on the baby now?! In this series we share conversations with leading experts that cover every angle of the fourth trimester and why taking care of the mother is so vital during this season of motherhood.

Today's expert is Renata Lardelli, a Registered Nurse and Midwife and her mission is to help new mums find their footing as they transition from woman to mother in the fourth trimester. Renata believes women are grossly underprepared and encourages women to learn about the fourth trimester as they do pregnancy, labour & birth. She’s also the founder of Lila Jasmine fourth trimester education portal as well as New Zealand's only lactation bar.

You can find out more about Renata on Instagram @lilajasminenutrition and on her website lilajasmine.co.nz/collections/workshops and use Code THEDEEP to get $15 off your online fourth trimester workshop.

This episode discusses suicide and post-natal depression, support services are listed below.
