    About Steve
Steve Seskin is a successful songwriter who has written seven number-one songs, including Grammy-nominated “Grown Men Don’t Cry,” as recorded by Tim McGraw, and “Don’t Laugh at Me,” winner of NSAI Song of the Year and Music Row Magazine Song of the Year as recorded by Mark Wills. His other #1 hits are “No Doubt About It” and “For a Change,” both recorded by Neal McCoy, “No Man’s Land” and “If You’ve Got Love,” both recorded by John Michael Montgomery and “Daddy’s Money,” recorded by Ricochet.

Other chart toppers include “I Think About You” recorded by Colin Raye and “All I Need To Know” by Kenny Chesney.

Born and raised in NYC, his first exposure to music was sitting beside his mom while she played piano and sang Broadway show tunes. When he was 12, the Beatles came to America and the music bug bit him for good. He moved to California when he was 20 and has lived in the SF Bay Area for almost 50 years, performing at clubs, festivals, and house concerts along the way. He thinks of himself as a songwriter/teacher/singer in that order and loves all aspects of his musical life equally.

Our featured songwriters this month will be Ann Arbor's Americana Queen Songstress Bill Edwards and Sarah Schingeck

Bill Edwards is both a master of the songwriting craft and a seasoned and compelling performer. He started his career in the singer-songwriter scene in Buffalo, NY in the ’70s, and his journey has led him from bluegrass to country-rock, to classic country and Americana.

All along the way, the constant has been songwriting. Bill won the Country division of Billboard’s® national songwriting contest and his songs have been recorded by other artists and featured on TV and the silver screen. He’s held staff-writer positions in Nashville and studied the craft at the feet of masters.

Bill can more than hold his own with both acoustic and electric guitar, with fiddle, mandolin, and lap steel.  He sings with an expressive voice that brings his songs to life like no one else’s. Years of shows for audiences small and large have honed his performance skills, whether solo or with a band.

Bill boasts a catalog of seven full-length albums of original songs. His latest, 61356, is available here and here. Bill produced, arranged, recorded, and mixed the entire project in his home studio.

Bill continues to write songs that’ll move your heart or move your feet or both.
