    Aleister Crowley (Heroes & Villains)

    Aleister Crowley (Heroes & Villains)

Apologies for the insanely long amount of time it's taken us to post this episode. We encourage our patrons to grab their Book of Shadows pages before listening to this episode. We also encourage everyone to listen to the sister episode on The Otherworldly Oracle Official podcast in which we chat about Crowley's accomplishments and heroic characteristics. And don't forget to share, like and subscribe to this and all Burning Hallows Productions podcasts.
So what makes the wickedest man in the world so wicked? Despite the positive affects he may have had, Alestair Crowley is probably the most controversial figure in the occult world. Crowley was wealthy beyond measure and spared no expense in exploring the darkness of the occult while luring others to help him build his utopia in the name of enlightenment. Crowley had his fingers in many pies including depraved sex, drugs, eugenics, espionage and possibly even murder. So come along with us as we dig underneath the well to explore the villainous ways of Alestair Crowley.
WARNING: this episode contains discussions that feature themes that may be disturbing to some, such as sex, drug use, eugenics, and murder. Listener discretion is advised.

I also apologise as I have misplaced the link to the works of Crowley as related to eugenics. I will keep looking!

The Left Hand Path with Jasmyne Ambrosia

The Left Hand Path with Jasmyne Ambrosia

The Left Hand Path. What do you imagine when you hear those words? Many practitioners are either taught or assume that those who engage in the left hand path are “dark” or practice “black magic” - terms which are controversial all on their own. They may even automatically associate those who practice the left hand path with Satanism, malefic magic, demons, cults, and the shadiest parts of the occult imaginable. But, how much of our assumptions of the left hand path are true? In witchcraft and the occult, ignorance is not bliss but rather a poison that leads practitioners into judgment of each other’s practices.
Today’s episode welcomes left hand path practitioner and high priestess Jasmyne Ambrosia to help us demystify this path. Jasmyne resides in the Indianapolis, Indiana  area, is the high priestess of the Solar Court Coven, and runs a metaphysical business by the name of 3rd Eye Fortunes both online and in her local area. Grab your ceremonial goblet, and get ready to drink from the well.

    The Devil's Pagan Origins

    The Devil's Pagan Origins

For thousands of years the Devil has been used as an icon of evil and retribution. You've likely heard tales of seduction into sin, damnation of wrongdoing, and the promise of eternal suffering through Satan or The Devil from Christian sermons whether in person or on television. But where did the Devil really begin? Contrary to popular belief, the Devil has not always existed. In the Jewish Old Testament there is no mention of the Devil and Satan is but a figure who does God’s bidding rather than assuming the role as the Lord of Darkness. In fact, there was no fiery pit of eternal torture either. So where did the Devil we know come from? During the next hour we will explore how the modern Devil came to be and his influence as an icon of evil. Get  ready to warm yourself by the underworld fire as we drink from the well to explore one of the most taboo subjects in spirituality, The Devil.

    Anne Boleyn (Heroes & Villains)

    Anne Boleyn (Heroes & Villains)

There are two sides to everyone - a light side and a dark side. Our newest continuing series we call Heroes and Villains seeks to better understand the many complex facets of the human experience. The good and the bad. The joy, love and laughter. The greed, jealousy, and fear. In this series we will meet various mystical figures from the past, many that have warranted much controversy over the years.  Here on Mimir’s Well, we’ll uncover the villainous side of a mystical figure from history. And, once you’ve listened to the Villain episode, we encourage you to jump over to the Otherworldly Oracle Official podcast to listen to the Heroes’ tale, where we explore the opposite side of the coin. This is to propose  that any of us can occupy these roles simultaneously or be both and yet neither, no matter how society portrays us. In today’s first Heroes & Villains episode, we have tea with the dubious Queen of England, Anne Boleyn. So grab your cuppa and get ready to drink from the well.

Fantastic

By far one of my favorite podcasts ever! Along side OO. I love the freedom, and openess of the topics. I often find myself nodding in agreement or laughing along. It’s like coffee with the girls!
