Being a ministry wife is a vocation without a job description… and let’s be honest — sometimes it seems like ministry might be easier if we did have one. If you are a ministry wife like me and are looking for hope, perspective, and a little bit of practical advice regarding your role, you’re in the right place. I’m Christine Hoover… welcome to The Ministry Wives Podcast, a production of the North American Mission Board. Join me as we hear from women in various ministry contexts for authentic conversations about our shared joys and challenges – even the ones we’re unsure we can talk about. No topic is off-limits. Let’s dive in.
Ministry Wives with Christine Hoover - An Introduction to the Podcast
My name is Christine Hoover, and I'm starting a new podcast in partnership with the North American Mission Board focused on helping and encouraging ministry wives. In the Ministry Wives Podcast with Christine Hoover, you’ll hear from incredible guests who voice the issues and questions we all face in ministry. There will be “how-to” episodes on discipling women and hospitality, conversations about anxiety, longevity in ministry, and knowing which needs God is calling you to meet. We will receive insight, tools, and hope regarding those issues, reminding us of the joys of serving the Lord in ministry.

This is one of my favorite podcasts. Thank you for all of the work you are doing!
I stumbled across this podcast while on Instagram one day and “accidentally” came across it. Of course, with the Lord nothing is accidental and no tiny detail is unimportant. It’s been so so wonderful! This podcast has especially been helpful to me since our family recently transitioned to a new area where my husband is the senior pastor of a small church here. I have lived a lot of life to this point and have no doubt that the Lord has used everything in my experiences for this time of my life. Thank you, Christine for your insight and wisdom in inviting pastors wives from all over to share their experiences with us! It has been such an encouragement and blessing to my own heart. ❤️
Pain & Joy
I appreciate your joy and transparency. This podcast is a prime example. I love his giddiness over God’s provision and sacrifice.
I read that pain is subservient to our faith. I add that joy and suffering can be concurrent. I have experienced it time and again. Then I thought about ‘congruent’ and think that fits also. Congruent means ‘in agreement or harmony’. To me that means I can endure a burden with joy in the process.
Thank you for sharing life with me!!
