Red Cora by B. Hayden: The Last Humans Are Non-Binary

“…maybe in hundreds or thousands years from now, I think that the human race would have faint out. And I just think that over time we are going to stop caring so much about identifying as genders… We are going to care a little less about identifying as a specific gender and care more about just being with each other and loving each other... "And that is what I’m trying to paint.” -- B. Hayden American figurative artist B. Hayden portrays vivid illustrations of her contemplation of the climate crisis and human survival in her most recent body of work, Red Cora. Drawing from a daydream of what human future existence may become, Hayden embodied her imaginary world of an apocalyptic planet on canvas. As a member of the queer community, she envisions a future world where humans will start to interact with each other beyond gender labels. Surviving as the last humans, these non-binary people will eat oranges in a landscape of miles and miles of sand dunes. B. Hayden is a dedicated American artist born and raised in Houston, Texas. After receiving her BFA from the University of North Texas, she moved to Brooklyn, New York, and quickly received recognition in the New York art scene. Her works have been featured in numerous galleries in New York, Texas, and Thailand. Opening music: The Waltzing Cat, Leroy Anderson Played by Markus Staab *Speakers Information* | Minjic Artist | B.
