Mish, Zach and Gen Fricker Chat Hot Chefs And Dating Politicians - What Category Of Employment Haven't You Slept With... Yet?

This week we're joined by our mate (and Leguizamarama fan-favourite) Gen Fricker! Together we talk about the group chat we have and about all of the thirsty TikToks we send each other every day. We also explore the power of the chef dick and why none of us have ever hooked up with a politician. Delightful!

    184. Fish N Chips: The Movie (2013)

    184. Fish N Chips: The Movie (2013)

This week, Mish and Zach watched "Fish N Chips: The Movie" - an animated film from 2013 directed by Dan Krech.
It's a film about a fish named Fish and a cat named Chips who are both dealing with some deep generational trauma surrounding the ownership of a small bone on a string that they wear like a necklace. Fish's ancestors stole the bone from Chip's ancestors after literally eating them. Chips desperately wants to get the bone back so that he can return it to his family, but Fish is being a little bitch about it.
The opening titles of this movie are written in comic sans.
John Leguizamo voices the cat named Chips.

Mish and Zach Chat House Plants and Sexy Thrillers - They Just Don't Turn Us On Like They Used To!

Mish and Zach are back - but we're trying something new! If you love Leguizamarama for the chit-chats at the start, well, you're in luck! We're going to dedicate a whole episode each week to our mindless banter. This week, we're talking all things sexy thrillers. Why was cinema in the 90s so horny? Why has sex in films changed so dramatically? Can Ben Affleck and Ana De Armas save an entire genre? We also reveal the Leguizamo movie we'll be watching this week so you can watch it along with us! What a bloody treat.

    183. The Ministers (2009) with Naomi Higgins

What a TREAT to be joined by actor/writer/comedian Naomi Higgins this week!
This week we watched "The Ministers" starring Harvey Keitel and John Leguizamo. This film tells the story of a lady cop who only goes to one restaurant and she spends her life trying to find the guy who killed her father ages ago when she was a child.
John Leguizamo plays TWINS! Double Legz! You can tell the twins apart because one of them is a sweetie and the other one has a burn on his face and is evil.

    182. Raul Julia: The World's a Stage (2019)

    182. Raul Julia: The World's a Stage (2019)

This week we watched season 33, episode 10 of "American Masters" - something we both reckon we'd never have watched if not for this delightful podcast that we do each week.
In this episode, "American Masters" focuses on iconic Puerto Rican actor Raul Julia - his career on stage and screen, but also his personal life behind the camera and the impact he had on Hollywood.
John Leguizamo plays himself - he does a bit of Shakespeare at one point and speaks on how awesome Raul Julia is.

Two Funny Friends

You don't have to know much about John Leguizamo to enjoy this podcast, it's more a podcast where two comedians that are friends chat about things happening in their lives or about movies and actors they love. Often the movies they talk about at length have John Leguizamo in them, but sometimes they just dissect other movies that have nothing to do with anything. It provides a lot of insight to hear two people in the industry break down what works and what doesn't, stuff about tone and pacing, and I'm always getting interesting movie recommendations thanks to them.

I've never seen Gilmore Girls or Grey's Anatomy. One day I hope to meet Zach and ask him not if Mark or Broden are with him, but where Mish is. They're both very lovely people and their relationship is... in fact... #relationshipgoals 😔
