Movies For Breakfast Episode 5: "Spider Man: No Way Home" and "Moonfall" - " My Disaster Movie Sense is tingling!" Welcome to Episode 5 of Movies for Breakfast, Where with great breakfast making comes great responsibility. This week, we went to the movies to see "Moonfall", from 2022, Directed by Roland Emmerich and written by Roland Emmerich, Harald Kloser and Spener Cohen, and starring Halle Berry, Patrick Wilson, John Bradley, Charlie Plummer and Michael Pena. We also watched "Spider-Man: No Way Home", directed by Jon Watts and written by Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers, and starring Tom Holland, Zendaya, Benedict Cumberbatch, Jacob Batalon, Jon Favreau and a whole mess of characters. Some of them could even be spoilers in this movie. Both of these movies are still relatively new, so please go to the theaters and see them and support those industries. Also, in honor of "Moonfall", we go over our personal rankings of the top 5 best Disaster movies, some you might not even consider. There are some the hosts didn't think of, certainly, so why not share them down below? Risky and I will be taking the week off for some personal stuff, but that's okay, because we are coming back the week after to talk about "The Batman", directed by Matt Reeves on the week of March 13th, so it gives you some time to watch the movie before we discuss spoilers on that show.

Risky Business (1983) and Logan Noir (2017):

Risky Business (1983) and Logan Noir (2017):

Movies for Breakfast, Episode 4:  " Mission Risk-possible: Wolverine Protocol"

Risky Business and Logan Noir (2017): "Mission Risk-possible: Logue-Nation"

Welcome to episode 4 of Movies for Breakfast, the show designed to give you a delicious helping of opinions on movies. This week, we step back into the past to cover movies that aren't exactly new, but we certainly experienced them in different ways this time around. We watched "Risky Business" from 1983, written and directed by Paul Brickman and starring Tom Cruise, Rebecca De Mornay, Curtis Armstrong and  Joe Pantoliano. We also watched "Logan", in the Noir version from 2017, directed by James Mangold and written by James Mangold, Scott Frank and Michael Green, and starring Hugh Jackman, Dafne Keen, Patrick Stewart, Boyd Holbrook, Stephen Merchant and Richard E. Grant.

Hey, if Hugh Jackman did Risky Business, would it have been Hugh Business? Ha Ha Ha, I'll see myself out.  We also talk about the Oscar nominees, some disappointments, some expectations, but not necessarily who we think is going to win yet. That will be saved for closer to the Oscars. Do you have any Oscar hopefuls that didn't get nominated? Leave a comment below, and give us a like and subscribe if you enjoyed having us around for Breakfast. As of this recording, "Risky Business" is currently available to watch on HBO Max and "Logan" is available to watch on Hulu, though there isn't much difference between the regular and Noir. Next Week, we will be heading to the theaters for two movies, "Spider-Man: No Way Home" directed by Jon Watts from 2021, and "Moonfall", from 2022, directed by Roland Emmerich. We also got our wires a bit crossed, but that's not a bad thing, because we ended up coming up with a Top 5 Best Coming of Age films, in honor of our selection with Risky Business.

Keywords: Movies, Breakfast, Risky, Risky Boltz, Logan, Logan Anderson, Business, Tom Cruise, Noir, Hugh Jackman, Oscars 2022, Nominees, Nominations, Spider-Man, Spider Man, Hulu, HBO Max.

The Power of the Dog and The Death of Superman Lives: What Happened?:

The Power of the Dog and The Death of Superman Lives: What Happened?:

"Bronco Henry Vs. Superman: Banjos of Justice"

Welcome to Episode 3, we came back from a week off to get our technical issues straightened out, and we are back and ready to dig into some more food for thought on this week's Movies for Breakfast. This week, Risky and Logan tackle two super long titles: "The Power of the Dog", directed by Jane Campion and starring Benedict Cumberbatch, Kirsten Dunst, Jesse Plemons and Kodi Smit-McPhee. We will also discuss the documentary "The Death of Superman Lives: What Happened?", directed by Jon Schnepp.

Man, Benedict Cumberbatch? Even the lead actor's name in one of the movies is long.... "Power of the Dog" is streaming on Netflix and "The Death of Superman Lives: What Happened?" is available to rent or buy at the link: thedeathofsupermanliveswhathappened.vhx.tv.

There is also another top five list of the movies we wish could have existed, sort of a fun little imaginative time for the movies we would have loved to have seen, in honor of the documentary for a Superman movie we wish we could have gotten. We also have a little request for movies this week, which if you are interested, please send us a message, we would love to have movies for suggestions for the show! Next week, we will be watching "Risky Business" from 1983, written and directed by Paul Brickman and starring Tom Cruise, Rebecca De Mornay, Joe Pantoliano and Richard Masur. We will also be watching "Logan" from 2017, written by Scott Frank and directed by James Mangold, and starring Hugh Jackman, Patrick Stewart, Dafne Keen and Boyd Holbrook. "Risky Business" is currently streaming on HBO Max and "Logan" is currently streaming on Hulu. For fun, we will try to check out "Logan Noir", but if you can't find it, the colorized version is available on Hulu and just as good to watch.

The River Thief and The Last Duel: "Wait, who was the good guy again?"

The River Thief and The Last Duel: "Wait, who was the good guy again?"

Episode 2:  The River Thief and The Last Duel: "Wait, who was the good guy again?"

Welcome to episode 2 of Movies for Breakfast, where we have a little discussion about the movies we saw that week and more, because here at Movies for Breakfast, there is only one rule. #1 - Don't brush your teeth before drinking your orange juice. This week we discuss "The Last Duel", directed by Ridley Scott from 2021, and starring Matt Damon, Adam Driver, Jodie Comer and Ben Affleck.  We also talk about "The River Thief" from 2016, written and directed by N.D. Wilson and starring Joel Courtney, Raleigh Cain, Bas Rutten, Paul Johannson and Tommy Cash. "The Last Duel" is currently streaming on HBO Max and "The River Thief" is streaming on Tubi. Risky and Logan also have a little fun with IMDB trivia sections and end the show with a top 5 of the movies we didn't expect to like. There are more than a few little hiccups in the episode, so bear with us, we should be getting this all nailed out here soon. Next week's episode will be "The Power of the Dog", directed by Jane Campion and starring Benedict Cumberbatch, Kirsten Dunst, Jesse Plemons and Kodi Smit McPhee. We will also discuss the documentary "The Death of Superman Lives: What Happened?". "The Power of the Dog" is currently streaming on Netflix, and "The Death of Superman Returns" is currently unavailable for streaming, but will be on a youtube link in the description. Stealing movies is bad, but if it isn't readily available, we'll try to have a link somewhere to watch it before the show.
