Johnny J - The DMSW Podcast ,

A Can’t Miss Podcast for any Dad

Doug has a podcasting voice that would make even the likes of Marv Albert, Joe Buck, or Jim Nantz jealous. If the stories Doug tells on this podcast are not turned into a half hour drama/comedy on CBS it will be the crime of the century. Doug is using the love he has for his dad along with the pain of losing him, as well as his pride of being a new dad, to publicly figure out life for all of our listening pleasure each week, and is some of the “realest” content you can find in the world of podcasting right now. I think anyone who is a parent, or has lost someone close to them, can get a lot out of listening to this show, but if you are a dad… this is CAN’T MISS listening. Do your dad soul a favor and subscribe and listen anytime Doug grabs that mic and starts telling his story.

A new Dad making a character study of his Dad

Doug’s father, Wally, comes alive in this podcast. His speech, his energy, and his witticisms are conveyed to construct an image of Wally through Doug’s storytelling. The new Dad stories about Doug’s daughter, Max, are adorable and hilarious. I’ll be looking forward to next season’s episodes.

Beautifully done.

I love this podcast. What Doug does balancing loss and love, and the courage it takes to be this vulnerable on the internet is nothing short of brave.
