Welcome to the My Fishing Cape Cod Podcast presented by Cape & Islands Mitsubishi! In this episode, we are joined by Amy Wrightson of Sports Port in Hyannis, Massachusetts.
Amy provides a detailed fishing report for the south side of Cape Cod and Vineyard Sound. She touches on Striped Bass, Blue Fish, Tautog, and Sea Bass. The schools of Striped Bass along the south side and Vineyard Sound continue to be slot and above slot sized fish with some big Blue Fish starting to show up!
In addition, Amy also gives us a freshwater fishing report from the Cape's many kettle ponds. Whether it's saltwater of freshwater, there are many fantastic fishing opportunities here on Cape Cod in June! -
June 3 Vineyard Sound Fishing Report with Evan Eastman of Eastman's Sport & Tackle
Welcome to our first June edition of the My Fishing Cape Cod Podcast presented by Cape & Islands Mitsubishi! In this podcast, we are joined by Evan Eastman of Eastman's Sport & Tackle in Falmouth, Massachusetts.
Evan has a FRESH RED HOT FISHING REPORT from this morning in Vineyard Sound. A large biomass of above slot size striped bass have moved into the area and are feeding heavily on squid. Bait is plentiful and so are the fish off the coast of Falmouth!
Evan and his Dad also got into a monster blue fish which is a sign that fishery is about to pick up as well off Falmouth and in Nantucket and Vineyard Sound. Lastly, we get a Black Sea Bass Report from the sounds with fish in abundance and larger fish out in deeper water. -

Welcome to another edition of the My Fishing Cape Cod Podcast presented by Cape & Islands Mitsubishi! In this podcast, Ian McPartland of the Goose Hummock Shop in Orleans, MA sits down with our host Kevin Collins to discuss the latest surfcasting report.
Ian has been able to successfully locate and target slot size striped bass inside Cape Cod Bay, Buzzards Bay, and the South Side. He provides the lures and tides working the best for him currently. He also has had luck targeting Black Sea Bass in Buzzards Bay from the kayak.
In addition, the podcast will also discuss the change in wind from SW to NE this weekend and how that will affect surfcasting opportunities around Cape Cod. -

Amy provides first hand reports of migratory striped bass arriving here on Cape Cod in good numbers. She has seen and heard reports of schoolie sized fish and keeper sized fish on the south side. In addition, the ground fishing has been steady the first week of May. She has detailed information on Tautog, Sea Bass, and Scup as well as Squid and Blue Fish as well! Lastly, Amy provides a freshwater report for the kettle ponds of Cape Cod and what lures and baits are working well for Brown Trout and Large Mouth Bass.
