4.14.21 - Day 4/13 of the White Mirror Wavespell * Planetary Moon 11



The White Mirror wavespell has three stations, and we can see ourselves lodge at one or move between them over the course of the 13 days. You could be the priest at the top of the pyramid, performing the ceremony of sacrifice. You could be in the space of the sacrificial victim, the offering - which feels like getting your heart cut out and then the rarified aftermath as you enter heaven. Or you could be the observer at the base of the pyramid, taking in the remarkable view of others engaged in the most demanding human act of orchestrated surrender. All spaces in this triangulated diagram are holy, awesome, operatic. The White Mirror moment ends up being an invitation to grandeur, grit and present-moment aliveness, such that it feels less like terror than divine awakening.



 

4.11.21 - Day 1/13 of the White Mirror Wavespell * Planetary Moon 8



It's a remarkable moment, the eve of the Natural Time year's 'Galactic Return.' Every April 12th, or Planetary Moon 9, is 260 days after the start of the Mayan year. July 26, 2020 was Blue Lunar Storm and so our year is named - it holds the energy of that day for its entirety. April 12, 2021 is also Blue Lunar Storm, so it's both the birth of something that was conceived on that first day, as well as a microcosmic augury for us to discern what this surrounding year is about for us personally and collectively. I thought it was helpful to be reminded that Blue Lunar Storm lives within the White Mirror wavespell. That gives an additional perspective on why this year has been both challenging and chaotic, relentlessly churning and forcing us to confront both our weaknesses and strengths. It's situated in the time of sacrifice. Sacrifice is a sacred offering, but it also feels like heartbreak and loss. This White Mirror wavespell will at minimum remind us of the truth that when things are torn away from our grasp, we can open ourselves more easily to the god force.



 

4.7.21 - Day 10/13 of the Red Serpent Wavespell * Planetary Moon 4



Today is a Planetary day in a Planetary Moon - you have an opportunity to feel into that intensified energy field and understand what this tone is about. It's a lot about being here on the planet, not off in disassociative highs that feel like outer space. It's being solid and dense, stuck here without means to fly away or blast off. It's a time of fruition for the whole year's slow build that started last July 26. We are getting to our peak moment of accomplishment and growth and learning in this Blue Lunar Storm year. Take note that April 12 on the Gregorian is called the 'Galactic Return' because it's 260 days from the start of the year. You can anticipate that in 5 days we hit Blue Lunar Storm again and the year's energy is amplified by cycling back to this same point we began from. Lots of layers to follow the portal days we've been plunged through.



 

4.4.21 - Day 7/13 of the Red Serpent Wavespell * Planetary Moon 1



We will find in this new Planetary Moon a revisitation of 'challenge' that originated in the Lunar Moon last August-September. There is so much that manifests - comes to fruition, peaks and can be accomplished - in the Planetary moment, but it's also when the ceiling on our growth is capped and we feel our karma of being embodied, incarnated on earth. And with that, again, comes challenge. Problems and suffering are one form of challenge, but it's always an invitation to strengthen and grow. In the Planetary tone, we are not going to have a bunch of new challenges/problems/hardships. Instead it's a revisitation of what has been hard this whole year, so for the last 9-10 moons of our lives. The challenge takes our focus as we finally crest beyond it. There it is again, then it's gone.



 

3.31.21 - Day 3/13 of the Red Serpent Wavespell * Solar Moon 25



The Red Serpent wavespell regresses us to primality - both a pre-industrial bent with appetites for nature, simplicity and solitude as well as being reactive, tetchy like an instinctual wild creature. It's very difficult to process situational complexity right now - and yet our human lives are set up with all that endless, overbearing detail. It takes time, and discomfort, to fully enter the snake phase when we lose our excess limbs, become relegated to lying along the earth, no longer erect humans or birds in flight. As we transit fully into the acceptance that we are reptiles operating from base survival for this passage, we have to suffer the loss of control of what our higher mind usually sorts out and solves for us. Instead we are in our amygdala, scanning for safety and danger, ways to eat and procreate and rest. The portals that characterize this wavespell, day after day, take us deeper into the primitive evolutionary self until we find ourselves at peace with its limitations.



 

3.28.21 - Day 13/13 of the Yellow Human Wavespell * Solar Moon 22



We are transiting from the Yellow Human wavespell to Red Serpent, readying ourselves for the ten consecutive portal days that start Tuesday. The best approach to every growthful passage of the Tzolkin is to have spaciousness to your life - either from people or commitments or with time in nature - so you can let the intensity diffuse into openness and not bound up plans and complicated situations. As you enter the Red Serpent's instinctual drive and fear-response proclivities, find your grounding to the earth, find the rock you can slide under for refuge. The portals ask us to examine for the last time something we've outgrown, are ready to shed. Be patient with yourself as you face your old skin and slough it off to emerge lithe and sensual once more.
