Why Should We Contend for the Faith?
Jude doesnt begin his epistle by describing how to contend for the faith. He explains why we must contend for the faith: because the false teachers are perverting the gospel message and abusing Gods grace as a license to sin. Believers must understand Gods grace and contend for the faith.

To God Be the Glory!
Peter closes his second letter to the believers in Asia Minor with some important exhortations. He stresses the importance of growing in knowledge and virtue, remaining vigilant against deception, and holding fast to the apostles' teachings. He also emphasizes the need for holy living and perseverance in faith while we await Christs return.

A Divine History of Time
Peter refers to the beginning of time, its nature, including how it relates to both God and us, the end of time, and, quite importantly, how we are to live out our time on earth. Since God has ordained humanity's timeline, Peter reminds us that we must live our lives on earth by learning from and redeeming the past, living according to Gods plan in the present, and preparing for the future in light of eternity.

Wholesome Thinking
Peters ardent desire in writing both epistles was to stimulate his readers to wholesome thinking. It behooves us to understand what wholesome thinking is, why it is so critical, and, most importantly, how we can be stimulated to wholesome thinking.
