(4) Stones of Remembrance
Just getting through the river isn’t the end of it all. God knew it was also important for the Nation of Israel to remember what happened there. One of the greatest enemies of faith is forgetfulness. Too often, when we get to the other side of an obstacle we just move on to the next thing. It is important of our faith is remembering what God has done.
(3) Going Across the Flow
I’m sure the Israelites would have appreciated a well-defined and spelled out description of how God was going to give them the promised land before they crossed the Jordan. But that’s not what happened. They got their marching orders step by step. And those first few steps were only the beginning. We are all on similar journeys aren’t we? Our trust in Him is challenged by what lies ahead. But our Faith grows as we trust and obey like the Israelites
(2) A Shady Lady Story
You have to admit...Rahab is an unlikely character when you think about God fulfilling His promise to Israel. At least that’s what comes to mind...her choices cause us to doubt her contribution. But if we pass judgment immediately, we miss out on the blessing of her part. This shady lady was not beyond redemption. And neither are we! Today we see God’s Might...Majesty...and Mercy
(1) Adventuring with Courage
When you start out on an adventure there are always moments of fear and anxiety. Unexpected turns often come up and mechanical failures are inevitable. New experiences and challenges we know are just around the corner. Sometimes we wonder if we will even be able to survive. Today as we begin the Journey of a Faithwalker we will hear how it is possible to continue on this journey with courage
