Warner Brothers announced that for the entire year of 2021 they would release their films day-and-date in theaters and on HBO Max at no additional cost to subscribers.
The 17 films are: The Little Things; Judas And The Black Messiah; Tom & Jerry; The Many Saints of Newark; Reminiscence; Godzilla Vs. Kong: The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It; In the Heights; Space Jam: A New Legacy; The Suicide Squad; Dune; King Richard; The Matrix 4; Mortal Kombat; Malignant; Those Who Wish Me Dead; Cry Macho
While releasing films from home and theaters for all to safely enjoy the way they choose is a wonderful idea. The way Warner Brothers handled it has not caused the greatest response from Hollywood. You can read all about it here.
