Warm Bodies | Merry Christmas! #LighttheWorld

Warm Bodies stole my cold High School heart way back in 2013. With the help of Teresa Palmer and M83, it has become a film that has never left my memories! So years later I came to revisit and was touched by how much heart this silly Zombie Rom-Com has, and promised my wife I would do a podcast on it! So I decided it would be a great Christmas episode!! ---If you would like to learn more about my Christmas message you can email me at harrison@thebasementbinge.com or contact me on social media (listed below) or visit ComeUntoChrist.org  Written and directed by Jonathan Levine and starring Nicholas Hoult and Teresa Palmer, based on a book by the same name comes the heartfelt and silly Zombie romantic comedy - Warm Bodies. After a highly unusual zombie saves a still-living girl from an attack, the two form a relationship that sets in motion events that might transform the entire lifeless world.Show NotesConnect on Social MediaFacbook.com/basementbingeInstagram @thebasementbingeor send me an email - harrison@thebasementbinge.comHelp the show by leaving a review on Podchaser.com/thebasementbingeYou can also follow me on Letterboxd @HARRYPerry13   Best of the Best intro music by Anthony P.Soundcloud | Instagram

Monster Hunter | Should you go see it??

Monster Hunter | Should you go see it??

One of the films have looked most forward to this year is Monster Hunter. Knowing nothing of the word of Paul W. S. Anderson, I was a little nervous as reviews of his work only revealed it could be hit or miss. But I think Milla Jovovich is a total boss and as a HUGE fan of the game (logging over 5000+ hours in MH3U alone) I was excited to give it a chance - in good faith. So Saturday morning my brother and I headed to our local Cinemark - and had a great time! ---So should you go see it? That is up to you to decide! --- From the video game to the live-action director behind 'Residents Evil' and 'Event Horizon' and based loosly on the Capcom game "Monster Hunter Word" comes - Monster HunterWhen Lt. Artemis and her loyal soldiers are transported to a new world, they engage in a desperate battle for survival against enormous enemies with incredible powers. Feature film based on the video game by Capcom. Show NotesConnect on Social MediaFacbook.com/basementbingeInstagram @thebasementbingeor send me an email - harrison@thebasementbinge.comHelp the show by leaving a review on Podchaser.com/thebasementbingeYou can also follow me on Letterboxd @HARRYPerry13   Best of the Best intro music by Anthony P.Soundcloud | Instagram

Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets (w/ Matt Goes to the Movies)

Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets (w/ Matt Goes to the Movies)

[#52] Luc Besson has one crazy imagination! But I honestly had no idea! All I knew was this was a space opera that had some mixed reviews and the Blu Ray was on sale for under $5. So sure why not, lets buy it. Then it just sat on my shelf. So about a year later, it is finally time to visit the strange world of Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets with my great friend, Matt Goes to the Movies. This film is wacky and this review would not have been as fun without Matt's help. Subscribe to his show wherever you get your podcasts! https://bit.ly/2W1C56F or find him on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/MattPodcast From the visionary director behind 'The Fifth Element' and 'Lucy' and based on the French Comic Series "Valerian and Lauraline" comes - Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets. A dark force threatens Alpha, a vast metropolis and home to species from a thousand planets. Special operatives Valerian and Laureline must race to identify the marauding menace and safeguard not just Alpha, but the future of the universe.
