On Hubert Street at Hideout Alan Hartley's Slave To The Vibe Podcast

So, On Hubert Street, what can I say?Firstly, the chance to play this event alongside such an amazing bunch of DJs and legends of the scene was an honour. My set was the warm up and only listened to live by the select few that made it early doors, but warm up is warm up and you have to prep for every eventuality and that’s what I did. Digging deep into the music that really inspired my in the very early 80s of electro funk, funk, soul, disco and edits…as well as a few other bits I don’t normally get to play, thrown in for my personal pleasure. It’s amazing as a DJ when you get to play the music that inspired you, yet for me I never thought I’d actually get the opportunity to do it! I enjoyed it that much, I thought I should share mix with you all….I hope you enjoy listening to it as much as I did playing it.Very much on an 80's Street Sounds / Electro/ Balearic Beats tipAs for the party, let’s just say, my warm-up was then followed by 12 hours of musical magic, finally calling it a day and leaving the dance floor nearly 13hrs after playing my first track…and that was down to the fine selectors that followed! On Hubert Street and Barry May….it was an absolute pleasure!
