    How Is the Best Way to Pray (Part 2 of 2)
    Recalling the word pray as P-R-A-Y is the easiest way to remember what to include on how to enjoy a more effective prayer life. We should do each of these things in our prayers to God:
    P (Praise) R (Repent) A (Ask) Y (Yield) In Part 1, we learned that without accepting Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior and without accepting the totality of the word of God, the Holy Bible, as the inerrant and true word of God, He is under no obligation to answer an unbeliever’s prayer…unless it’s the unbeliever’s prayer of salvation, where an unbeliever is asking Jesus to come into their heart to become converted.
    God is ALSO under no obligation to consider the prayers or answer the prayers of a Christian who does NOT repent.
    All scripture is God-breathed. 2 Timothy 3:16-17 says, “All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness; that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work.”
    In Part 2 of How Is the Best Way to Pray, all 4 letters of the acrostic P-R-A-Y are explained in detail to help you enjoy a more fulfilled prayer life.

    How Is the Best Way to Pray (Part 1)

    How Is the Best Way to Pray?
    Before we can answer that question, we must first set the foundation of belief that Jesus Christ is our Lord and Savior by accepting the word of God, the Holy Bible, as the inerrant word of God. If someone does not accept the truth of scripture, God is under no obligation to hear or grant any prayer of an unbeliever. “For the word of God is living and active and sharper than any two-edged sword, and piercing as far as the division of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart.” This means that God’s word is ALIVE today, right now.     Learn more about how the Bible is satisfying in its contents, is a mirror, is water to those who are thirsty, is meat for our strength, is like a hammer to break us, is honey for our delight, and is above even His name.
    Simplest way to think about the word PRAY
    Think of the word PRAY as an acrostic with the letters, P-R-A-Y.

    If You Die Tonight, Why Would God Let You Into Heaven?

    If you died tonight, why would God let you into Heaven?
    To answer that question, let’s look at two statements that don’t make sense to most people:
    1: You cannot be GOOD enough to get IN to heaven
    2: You can’t be BAD enough to stay OUT of heaven.
    Statement #1. Our own goodness or righteousness is not good enough or righteous enough to get us into heaven. Neither our goodness nor our righteousness can overcome the stain of sin that is on us in order to make us saved for eternity in heaven.
     
    The Old Testament says that compared to the perfect righteousness that God expects, our righteousness is like an unclean, filthy rag.
    “For all of us have become like one who is unclean, And all our righteous deeds are like a filthy garment; And all of us wither like a leaf, And our iniquities, like the wind, take us away” (Isaiah 64:6 NASB). When Isaiah wrote those words, he was speaking to a group of religious Jews, but his words apply to us today as well because sin exists in every person in the world today. In the New Testament, in the Book of Romans, the Apostle Paul says the same thing that Isaiah said:
    “as it is written, “There is none righteous, not even one; There is none who understands, There is none who seeks for God; All have turned aside, together they have become useless; There is none who does good, There is not even one (Romans 3:10-12 NASB). It’s only by the saving grace of God that we are saved and can go to heaven.
    “For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, that no one should boast” (Ephesians 2:8 NASB).
     
    The gift of grace comes from God; we can’t earn it or deserve it. And we don’t come about grace naturally. It is God who imputes grace to us, and it is God who saves us. Grace is unmerited favor by God. God wants a relationship with us; that’s why He formed us. But because God is sinless, and because there is no sin in heaven, we cannot go to his heaven in a sinful state. That’s why He sent his son, Jesus Christ, to earth…to make us worthy before God by paying for our sins – past, present, and future. Christ became sin for us on the cross so that as believers we are called saints and cleansed of all sin. It does not mean that Christians won’t sin, but we will sin less, and we will not remain in the continuation of the same sins if we are truly converted as Christians.
     
    A. W. Tozer, a preacher and writer, once wrote, “God wants us to worship Him. He doesn’t need us, for He couldn’t be a self-sufficient God and need anything or anybody, but He wants us. When Adam sinned it was not he who cried, “God, where art Thou?” It was God who cried, “Adam, where art thou?”
     
    Statement #2: You can’t be BAD enough to stay OUT of heaven. A lot of people think there is NO WAY a good God would ever let them into heaven, because of something terrible they have done to someone else or to themselves. The proof, that no matter how bad you have been you could still get in to heaven, is illustrated by the person who wrote down the words of God as inspired by the Holy Spirit. This person wrote about half of the New Testament, was a murderer of Christians. We’re talking about the Apostle Paul.
     
    If Jesus Christ can convert a murderer of Christians into a Christian, couldn’t He do the same thing in your life no matter what you have ever done?  That’s the saving grace of Jesus Christ.

    What’s the Big Deal about Easter?
    Why Does the Resurrection of Jesus Christ Really Matter?
    Three Things We Should All Know
    #1: The word of God is applicable to our lives in today’s times
    The writer of Hebrews in Chapter 4 verse 12 (NASB) wrote, “For the word of God is living and active and sharper than any two-edged sword, and piercing as far as the division of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart”.
    This means the word of God is ALIVE TODAY, ACTIVE TODAY, and APPLICABLE TO OUR LIFE RIGHT NOW. The word of God did not die when the writing of the Bible concluded.
    #2: If Jesus Christ had not been raised from the dead
    Then Christianity would be dead, your faith would be worthless, and your life would be over the moment you die.
    The Apostle Paul who wrote this first letter to the Corinthians in the church at Corinth:
    “…and if Christ has not been raised, then our preaching is vain, your faith also is vain. Moreover we are even found to be false witnesses of God, because we witnessed against God that He raised Christ, whom He did not raise, IF in fact the dead are not raised. For if the dead are not raised, not even Christ has been raised; and if Christ has not been raised, your faith is worthless; you are still in your sins. Then those also who have fallen asleep in Christ have perished” (1 Corinthians 15:14-18 NASB).
    In this passage we learn of 5 disastrous consequences if there were no resurrection:
    Preaching Christ would be senseless. Faith in Christ would be useless. All the witnesses and preachers of the resurrection would be liars. No one would be redeemed from sin. All former believers would have perished. #3: The resurrection proves that Jesus was who He said He was.
    There are at least 11 post-resurrection appearances recorded in the Bible, and the one thing about Jesus’ resurrection is, His is the ONLY permanent return to life; everyone else who had been raised to life in the Bible died again.
    Jesus rose, and never died again.
    Whether you consider yourself to be a Christian or not, what I am about to say has eternal implications for everyone: we will all die a physical death, but that is not the end of the story. We actually have two lives, one on earth and one in eternity. The question is, which eternity are you going to live in…heaven or hell?

    Did you know - Jesus Christ prays for you if you are a Christian! “Hence, also, He is able to save forever those who draw near to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them” (Hebrews 7:25 NASB). Intercession means to pray on behalf of. How awesome is that to have the Son of God pray for you!
    If you feel a prompting in your heart
    Jesus said, “No one can come to Me, unless the Father who sent Me draws him; and I will raise him up on the last day” (John 6:44 NASB). This verse means that it is GOD who draws someone. No one can save you. No pastor, no preacher, no magic phrases of words of “say this and be saved.” Even you can’t save you. No one can save you except God.
    If you feel a prompting in your heart, it may be God who is asking you to accept his Son as your Lord and Savior. Accept Jesus into your heart NOW, proclaim Him your Lord and Savior, and ask forgiveness of your sins. There are no second chances to accept Christ if you die before you accept Him. Do it now if He is prompting you.

    What Happens When Experiencing Financial Bankruptcy?
    Experiencing financial bankruptcy can profoundly impact one’s individual's spiritual well-being, often leading to a profound period of introspection and re-evaluation of one's values and life priorities. This challenging time can become an unexpected journey towards spiritual growth and renewal. As material possessions and worldly status are stripped away, the essence of one's faith and personal beliefs may come to the forefront.
    Content in All Circumstances
    The Apostle Paul speaks to the strength found in faith from being in Christ, strength that allows one to be content and resilient in all circumstances, underscoring the spiritual empowerment that comes from reliance on God's strength: “I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want. I can do all this through him who gives me strength” (Philippians 4:12-13; NIV).
    How Do We Get into Heaven?
    Faith brings salvation. "'...for Whoever will call upon the name of the Lord will be saved.” How then shall they call upon Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher?...'" (Romans 10:13; NASB).
    To enter heaven, we must first admit that in our spirit, no matter how wealthy or poor we may be in the material world, in the spiritual realm we are absolutely totally bankrupt and a beggar before God.

    Complexities Today
    As we navigate through the complexities of the world we live in today, it's evident that the world faces significant social and emotional challenges, contributing to a sense of deepening malaise. Global political unrest and economic uncertainties intensify feelings of anxiety. 
    The digital age, while offering unprecedented connectivity, has also led to issues of social isolation, digital addiction, and a crisis of misinformation, further complicating our social fabric and emotional well-being. 
    The Good News
    The good news is that even amidst these challenges, all Christians have a power that is greater than any world power and greater than any political regime. It’s the Holy Spirit power that enters every person who becomes a Christian. As Jesus said, “I am the vine, you are the branches; he who abides in Me, and I in him, he bears much fruit; for apart from Me you can do nothing” (John 15:5 NASB).
    No Worry
    We don’t have to worry. Philippians 4:6-7 (NASB) reminds us, “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, shall guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
