Hi, I’m Kara Brothers and I’m so excited that you’re here with me on Pawsitive Profit!
I remember what it felt like making dog treats for my friends and family and wanting to turn it into a real business, but not knowing enough all natural dog treat recipes and totally tanking in the decorating and packaging department that my dream never got off the ground. My packaging was a zip lock bag with the flavor written on the outside with a sharpie (cringe!) I owned one cookie cutter at the time - a snowflake! I had no clue how to add “icing” to my treats, let alone know enough to sell my homemade dog treats at the Farmers’ Market. What I was doing worked fine for friends and family, but it wasn’t good enough to push me to the next level to have my own dog treat bakery business. WOOF!
DOES THIS SOUND FAMILIAR?
Through lots of “trying again” I discovered the secrets that transformed my fun hobby into a SERIOUS DOG TREAT BUSINESS! After falling in love with the results of making changes in the way I did things, I applied and was accepted into my town’s weekly Farmers’ Market, where we have regular customers who bring their dog and visit us every week. My income from this ONE MARKET is between $400-$500 PER WEEK!
My dog treats are now offered in 5 stores spread out across 3 cities! I started a free Dog Treat Bakers Facebook group to help WOMEN JUST LIKE YOU that now has over 1700 members!
