Physical Performance vs. Brain Funcionality with Neuroscientist, Louisa Nicola The Social Ninjas

    • Mental Health

In this episode, we interviewed Clinical Neuroscientist, brain coach, and founder of Neuro Athletics, Louisa Nicola. Louisa dives into what she believes are the 4 pillars of high performance: mindset, physiology, nutrition, and spirituality. This leads into some advice on an optimal morning routine and what we should do for the first 12 minutes of our day. Louisa does an exercise to show us how our Reticular Activating System (RAS) functions and how it relates to self-love. Through this, she explains how we can change our mentality to reinforce our beliefs in ourselves. We talk about the challenges and moments of gratitude that the pandemic is going bring, including Covid PTSD and small moments of human contact. Louisa ends with an intriguing analogy for our consciousness in relation to our mind and brain.

Enjoy!
