The simple steps to get & keep our body healthy and balanced‪.‬ Sunday Morning Magazine

Aysha Morgan DPT, PT, OCS, is a physical therapist at PacMed where her mission is to help people stay mobile and flexible through life. Aysha aims to make it simple and easy to do right in our own environment. Plus it doesn't have to take a lot of time, just 1 minute of stretching different muscles everyday adds up to a world of good flexibility and health. I think her nickname might be Dr. Practical. As a physical therapist Aysha's goal is for people to 'age gracefully'. The way to do this is to "move", keep our joints in motion. Using me as an example, Aysha says that walking 30-min a day is good, and making sure to stretch our leg muscles right after the walk is very important. She has us think of ourselves as a car, keeping the 4 tires equally inflated: cardio, balance, stretching, strengthening.
