Mason Black made his anticipated debut for the San Francisco Giants, and had a mixed bag of results. After four solid innings, he fell apart in the fifth inning, surrendering five hits and four runs in the one inning alone. Three of those runs came on another Bryce Harper three-run home run. With the loss, the San Francisco Giants fall to 15-21 on the season and just 6-14 on the road.

The San Francisco Giants look flat out terrible right now as they dropped their third consecutive game to the Philadelphia Phillies, 5-4, at Citizen Bank Park. The ace Logan Webb was on the mound for this one but struggled for his second consecutive start, as he gave up five runs in four innings of work. The San Francisco Giants had opportunities to score with runners in scoring position and less than two outs in both in the 7th and 8th innings, but both times they failed to scratch across a run. The San Francisco Giants have now lost five of their last six games.
