Brenda & Shelley Talk About Healing Hearts Divided and “Adopt” Adventuresome Flight Nurse Cindy Tait Morning Cup of Faith

    • Religion & Spirituality

Brenda and Shelley discuss the state of our hurting nation from the violence at the Capitol on Wednesday, January 6th as many of us still try to process what happened. How did we get to this place? Shelley shares James 1: 19-20, “Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry, because human anger does not produce the righteousness that God desires.” Brenda talks about not allowing the storm to get into your heart and to remain in peace. What if we took the time to deeply listen and try to understand others, even if they don’t share our opinion or vote for the same person? We can’t just write off people who are different from us. We don’t know what 2021 holds, but after a tumultuous start, we still believe hope, peace, and joy is all there if we just receive it. Brenda and Shelley “adopt” their next nurse in their “Adopt-A-Nurse” campaign, pilot, patent holder, author and flight nurse, Cindy Tait. Cindy shares action-packed stories of her heroism and saving lives on the front line in the pandemic. Cindy admits, "I don’t like suffering so if there is anything I can do to stop it or mitigate it, that’s my life mission.” A prayer warrior born with a heart who wants to help, she shares, “Thousands of times I’m with people on the worst day of their life and they never refuse prayer. If I offer them, ‘May I pray for you?’ they always say yes and they do turn to God, even if they don’t know Him. I’ve seen the dead raise and all kinds of miraculous events in the ICU. The word of God and prayer is so powerful."
