He's the Executive Editor at Sports Illustrated, correspondent for 60 Minutes, contributor to The Tennis Channel's coverage of the sport's majors and has authored 10 books. His lastest - Glory Days: The summer of 1984 and the 90 days that changed sports and culture forever.
We discuss his path from Production Assistant at ESPN to Sports Illustrated and 60 Minutes. His process of coming up with story ideas for the magazine, the writers who influenced him. How you land at 60 Minutes as a correspondent and how pieces are greenlit with so much internal competition? Finally we talk about Glory Days and how so many of the stories from 1984 resonate today.
