Dionne, a Christian, a poet, and a digital art student, is also the host of the podcast Words of Heart. She has handled major physical challenges in her life -- she couldn't hear or talk until she was almost 3 years old, and then, in January 2020 she was diagnosed as a Type 1 diabetic. When it comes to mental health challenges, she has also experienced several. Rejected by her classmates and peers through much of her childhood, she often felt invisible and very alone, to the point where she thought the world would be better off without her.
