    129. A Friendship That Ended in Cold Blood: The Death of Skylar Neese

    129. A Friendship That Ended in Cold Blood: The Death of Skylar Neese

High school can really and truly be some of the hardest years of a young person’s life.  Within those walls teenagers are trying to find out who they are, who they want to be and where they fit into the world around them.  Usually that includes making a tight knit group of friends and those people generally become your ride-or-die partners, if not for the rest of your life, at least for those high school years.  Two weeks ago we took a look at the case of Brianna Ghey and the way that a friend and that friend’s acquaintance brutally murdered Brianna because of a mixture of sadism and hatred.  This week we are going to look at a case where two friends, seemingly not driven by very much at all, make the decision to murder a very close friend of theirs in cold blood and they the carried on their lives, for a time, as though nothing had happened and they had no idea what had happened to their missing friend. Intro Music: Provided by Gallagher MusicSocial Media for GBNF:GBNF on FacebookGBNF on TwitterGBNF on InstagramGBNF on TikTokGBNF on YoutubeGBNF on Patreon

    128. Searching For Woman Who May Not Know That She is Missing: The Disappearance of Hannah Upp

    128. Searching For Woman Who May Not Know That She is Missing: The Disappearance of Hannah Upp

Over all of the episodes that we have talked about here on the podcast I don’t think that we have ever covered one that is quite like this one in so many ways.  This week we are going to talk about a young woman who went missing not once, not twice, but three different times within her life and sadly she has not been heard of or found since her last disappearance.  This is a case that covers a contentious, with some people, diagnosis, a young woman who seemed truly and wholly like the best person that anyone could ever meet and a story that has as many twists and turns as one could possibly handle. Intro Music: Provided by Gallagher MusicSocial Media for GBNF:GBNF on FacebookGBNF on TwitterGBNF on InstagramGBNF on TikTokGBNF on YoutubeGBNF on Patreon

    127. Transphobia and Hatred: The Murder of Brianna Ghey

    127. Transphobia and Hatred: The Murder of Brianna Ghey

In a world that is filled with crime and murder and people doing unexplainable and awful things to one another one of the worst things that I can find to read and write about is the killing of children by other children.  As we are going to see in this case today our children are growing up in a world that is sick and our children are growing up in a world that seemingly breeds hatred around each and every corner.  This week we are going to talk about a very young trans-gendered girl who was lured out of her home by someone that she considered one of her very few friends and another teen with their soul goal being to murder her.  This story has so many sides to it that are sad and distressing.  We have teens, children really, who are riddled with anxiety, dealing with autism spectrum disorder and being influenced by one another, the world around them and so much hate.  This is a case that covers the horrifying and far-to-soon end to one life at the hands of two people who were, and are, clearly dealing with a plethora of their own issues, not the least of which were sadism and hatred. Intro Music: Provided by Gallagher MusicSocial Media for GBNF:GBNF on FacebookGBNF on TwitterGBNF on InstagramGBNF on TikTokGBNF on YoutubeGBNF on Patreon

126: An Entire Family Killed, But Who is to Blame?: The Murders of Bobby, Sherilynn and Madyson Jamison

126: An Entire Family Killed, But Who is to Blame?: The Murders of Bobby, Sherilynn and Madyson Jamison

There have certainly been cases where entire family’s have disappeared under strange circumstances over the years.  In many case it is believed that the family’s simply needed to, or wanted to, start a new life and went off the grid to do so.  This week though we are going to look into a case that is certainly much more sinister than that and even though the remains of a husband, wife and young daughter were recovered, proving that they did not disappear purposely, there still are no concrete answers, no suspects and there has been no resolution whatsoever to what happened to them.  Over the years many theories abound as to what may have happened in this case and investigators themselves have even said that most people investigating murder would wish for the evidence that they have in this case, and yet, the evidence seems to point in many directions without any clear path to take to solve the crimes. Intro Music: Provided by Gallagher MusicSocial Media for GBNF:GBNF on FacebookGBNF on TwitterGBNF on InstagramGBNF on TikTokGBNF on YoutubeGBNF on Patreon

    125. Missing With No Closure in Oklahoma: The Disappearance of Kirsten Hatfield

    125. Missing With No Closure in Oklahoma: The Disappearance of Kirsten Hatfield

Out of the 51 States that make up the United States of America, Oklahoma is ranked 14th highest when it comes to their Crime Index rating.  Oklahoma had a violent crime rating of 4.20 which is just above the national median of 4.  The odds of becoming a victim of a violent crime are approximately 1 in 238 in the state.   Last year there were 270 reports of murder, 2313 reports of rape, 1632 reports of robbery and 12656 reports of assault.  The ratios per capita in the state rank above the national average for murder, rape and robbery and below the national average for assault.  This week we are going to focus in on the state of Oklahoma and talk about one of the most troubling things to talk about within true crime, the disappearances and murders of young children.  We will focus in this week on a case where the young lady at the centre of the case is believed to have been murdered and the believed culprit was murdered in prison.  In this case however, no body has ever been recovered and as always there is a massive plea for information  to finally close this case in one form or fashion. Intro Music: Provided by Gallagher MusicSocial Media for GBNF:GBNF on FacebookGBNF on TwitterGBNF on InstagramGBNF on TikTokGBNF on YoutubeGBNF on Patreon

    124. Being Remembered for Parricide: The Murders of Blake and Mary-Jo Hadley

    124. Being Remembered for Parricide: The Murders of Blake and Mary-Jo Hadley

Much of humanity is driven by some combination of the desire to make a lot of money and the desire to be recognized, known and remembered in some way, shape or form, long after their time here on this earth has come to an end.  It is believed that part of the reason for those desires is that people inherently quest for immortality.  The unfortunate thing however is that, as we touched on in last week’s episode on Stanislav Reshetnikov, some people seem to either lose the narrative of being remembered for positives, or they simply pass a point that they believe is of no return and they decide that being remembered for ANYTHING is better than not being remembered at all.  This week we are going to look at a story of a young man who was known to be quiet, reserved and mostly a shadow to those that he lived near and went to school with.  His story is one of drug abuse, alcohol abuse and complete boredom that led to what appeared to be a well thought out plan to commit an unthinkable deed, throw an incredible party and be remembered around the world.  He did perhaps wind up with all of those things, but he also will likely spend the rest of his life in prison and that too will always be a part of his legacy. Intro Music: Provided by Gallagher MusicSocial Media for GBNF:GBNF on FacebookGBNF on TwitterGBNF on InstagramGBNF on TikTokGBNF on YoutubeGBNF on Patreon
