    72. Jay Cook and Tanya Van Cuylenborg

In the fall of 1987 Jay Cook and Tanya Van Cuylenborg planned a fun overnight road trip to Seattle.
Jay prepared the van and Tanya packed her camera.
The young Victoria BC couple made their way into upstate Washington. They would not return home.
Decades later, DNA evidence and technology solved this double murder. But would the evidence be enough to keep the killer behind bars?

    71. Melonie Biddersingh

    71. Melonie Biddersingh

Flames could be seen coming from an industrial area outside of Toronto, Ontario.
As officers and firefighters approached the fire, they could make out a pile of fully engulfed tires. The fire had all the hallmarks of an intentional blaze.
When the fire was extinguished an officer noticed a badly burned suitcase sitting atop the tires.
Inside the case were the remains of a teenage girl and a mystery that would take decades to unravel.
The girl would later be identified as 17-year-old Melonie Biddersingh. This case has been described as one of the worst child abuse cases in modern Canadian history.

Respectful

Edit-
The content is really good and I love the fact that they are taking a trauma informed approach to doing true crime. they go out of their way to bring attention to cases of people who are from marginalized communities and they appear to put a lot of effort into researching the cases. I truly appreciate this podcast.
