Family Gaming At Its Best
Gaming with young kids is the stand out feature of this podcast. There are actual play recordings of the whole family including a two- and five-year old! This is a big deal, and aside from being instructional, it's just monstrously cute. You'll get to hear how to introduce really young kids to the hobby in a way that's sure to keep them at the table for years to come.
The music is fantastic, and there's plenty of content oriented for adult gamers as well. One of my favorite segments: RPG Gamer Mum does an awesome segment where she reads ancient/medieval texts in the original languages so you don't have to. Some will be at least passingly familiar from the adaptations they've seen (Beowulf, King Arthur, etc) but there are some that would go completely under the radar for most people.
If you have kids you want to get into gaming, or you just like listening to great gaming related content in accents from "across the pond," this is a must listen.
Brilliant live RPG
I stumbled across this podcast in search of a live RPG in the Cthulhu setting. I just listened to the first session of the Cthulhu Gaslight game. It is the best example of a live RPG podcast that I have heard in any genre. The GM & players do an excellent job of narrating the story. Most important, they stay in character and cultivate an atmosphere of dread which is so important to this type of game. There is none of the inane side prattle that plagues so many other live RPG podcasts. I'm looking forward to exploring the rest of the archives!
Inspiring podcast
As a fellow gamer, and father, I have found this podcast inspiring. I have a 11 year son who likes to game, and this show has given us new ideas and games to play. Thank you for doing this.
