Their podcasts are thoughtful. The points of view heard here are not reflected in Western media. Also, the length is short — between 20 and 20 minutes.
Worldy, Insightful, and Focused on Everyday Experiences
Consistently insightful coverage of world events that apply to both Americans and Chinese. I really appreciate The Heat's approach: they get both deeply knowledgable as well as very digestable interviewees. You can tell they stick to the facts and do a great job of letting people tell their own story and how they see things without leading them on. Because this podcast is really just trying to let knowledgable people share their story or insights, I find it is more objective than most news sources, letting the listener draw their own conclusions. Great programming, I'm a big fan, as it also shows how we can reach a mutual understanding between America and China despite having different political systems, which is very important for ensuring peace and prosperity in the next era.
