We’re back with an episode from the vaults, dating back nearly two months to early May! We explore the idea of heavy music and bands taking non-traditional approaches to all things heavy with new music from Cave In, Big|Brave, Lungbutter, Urochromes, and Deliluh. We shout out many things that have already happened in retrospect, but it’s still a heaping load of heavy music fun.

On the latest episode of the Post-Trash podcast we (loosely) explore what makes us listen to a band we’ve never heard before (making it sound way tougher than it truly is) and play new music from Beak>, Greg Electric, Mega Bog, Horse Jumper of Love, Thanks For Coming, USA Nails, Control Top, and Real Blood.

After an extended period away from the podcast, Nick and Dan return to chat about new music from Pile, She Keeps Bees, Squid, Blessed, Ausmuteants, PAX and a pair of selections from the recently released Post-Trash Vol. 4 charity compilation. A bit rusty and delightfully unfocused, this one is about the music, as its always meant to be.

This week we’re just excited to share some new music. We’re always excited to share new music but this time the whole group got so excited we completely forgot about our topic (which we’ll save for another week.) Hosts Nick Dooley and Dan Goldin were joined by Brooklyn’s bcc: as they got ready to record their debut album in the studio. Our latest episode explodes the wide world of music festivals. With SXSW quickly approaching we talk about memories from other festivals, though oddly don’t talk about SXSW at all. There’s some good stories and chatter, plus even better new music from Big Business, Shady Bug, Parsnip, Buck Gooter, and Grim Streaker.

On a most thrilling episode four, we explore the idea of buying music vs streaming, and the perceived value of music in our modern times. We keep it light and there’s not a great deal of fact checking, but plenty of passionate discussion. The musical selections are particularly exciting with new music from Oozing Wound, Vintage Crop, Eerie Wanda, Gnarcissits, Grace Sings Sludge, and Fond ...crammed primarily into the end as we learn about discussion:music pacing.
