FAI Field Report 6: Mark Erelli
My final interview from the dance is Mr. Mark Erelli. What a pleasure to get a chance to talk to him after being a fan of his for so many years. Mark (and Emily) and I have met many times through The Listening Room in Hastings, but this was the first time I had the chance to talk songs. Woefully late to the party
I just started listening to this show after a friend recommended it and I’m SO HOOKED. Emily and Hope make you feel like you’re hanging out with friends, and that songwriting is something “you too can do!” I started from the first episode and now I’m probably 40 episodes in. I find myself wanting to write songs to prompts and submit songs for their listener submission episodes, but am bummed this show is no longer happening.
I hope one day they make a glorious return to the show. Until then, I am wistfully blasting through episode after episode, and pretending the end isn’t coming. Fantastic podcast.
