We discuss the growing support for trade unions among young people, the reality of union busting in Ireland, the need for strong worker' rights and collective bargaining legislation, and a new Union campaign organised by CWU, FSU, Mandate and SIPTU called Respect at Work. Hugh outlines what is needed in order to build affordable housing. Not-for-profit affordable housing providers need additional funding (and loans) support from Government. He asks why isn't the Government doing it? And why is the Land Development Agency looking for double digit returns making affordable housing more expensive. And we finish with a key proposed solution of the state setting up factories to fast build tens of thousands of homes. A real solution.
