Recognizing & Supporting Your Struggling Friend No Tea, Just Juice

    • Self-Improvement

With it being national Mental Health Awareness Month I wanted to talk about something I think we typically sweep under the rug.  The mental health of our friends. It can be difficult to recognize when our friends are struggling mentally for many reasons. As adults we don't often see our friends regularly to notice changes in them, sometimes we don't want to offend them so we choose to say nothing and many times our friends don't ever mention (or realize) that they're struggling.
So today I'm unpacking a few symptoms and behaviors your friend could display that may warrant a closer look into their mental health.  I'm also sharing a few ways you can support them during their difficult time.
It's perfectly okay to have these kind of conversations and I hope that today's episode leaves you feeling empowered enough to recognize and support your friend who is struggling.
If you or someone else you know is having a hard time, it's okay to reach out for support.  You are not alone in this. Help is available. 1800-273-8255.
Be well, family.
