Sorry Goodbye
Feb 4
I have to say that this is simply a great podcast. Been listening for almost 10 years. Listened to most shows 3 times or more. They’ve gotten me through some tough times cause of bad health and disability when even with the best wife and kids I questioned whether I wanted to go on. Times have gotten tougher over the last years with the terrible leadership in our sinking country. Its lead to much name calling and a country where we are being divided into “picking a side”. I thiought I was above it and they would never get to me, but for those of you with children, you know how hard it is when you see there futures of growing up in a place full of nothing but hate can affect you. And it did to me. Long story short is that I decided to try to block out some of the obnoxious noise by eliminating certain things that provoked or name called including lots of podcasts that have been important for me (see above) unfortunately this podcast had to for my health both physically and mentally. That lead to me becoming someone I never thought I would and unfortunately going at someone on the show that is by all appearances a great person and I’m sorry for it. I’ve gotten rid of all social media and any show that feels necessary to attack ANYONE in this current climate. Even if it is in the guise of being funny. I learned that lesson this week and feel sorry. This show is tremendous. The three hosts that are left are incredible people and do a great job in blending comedy with information. Thank you from the bottom of my heart and hopefully some day maybe I can come back and listen in a better time and world.
Good Listen but Stay on Track

I’ll start by saying that I really do enjoy the show. The guys have great chemistry together and it’s usually a fun listen. However, the constant references to being woke or whatever is so annoying. I’m on their side with everything, but by the eighth reference in an episode, it’s just exhausting. Also, I have a hard time listening when Matt Basler is on because he takes way too long to make a point. Again, I tend to agree with his takes but the windup just to say he thought something was boring is endless.
Encouragement and Another Joe Horror Question

WHATS UP guys wanted to send some encouragement your way (and ask Joe a horror question)! Like always yall are killing it, always enjoy the episodes even if I didn’t get to the theater to see the movie of the week although I do try. Thanks for always shedding light on properties or franchises I thought I was familiar with already, Tom’s old man knowledge has added to my pre existing knowledge of movies, so know it does not fall on deaf ears :) Horror question for Joe - is the 2010 reboot of Nightmare on Elm Street ever going to get picked up again? Do you think it should be? Thoughts on how that franchise in general should be handled from here on, or if it even should! Personally just got around to rewatching the series, and honestly didn’t particularly love the 2010 reboot, the weird CG Freddy scenes threw me off because like Kevin, I’m a sucker for practical effects and lazy CG always takes me out of it. Always would love to hear your thoughts, thanks for doing what you do and keep it up! - Josh S
Doing too much

A cacophony of voices speaking over each other is not my idea of a podcast that reviews movies.
