Bubba is a very clear and effective teacher

As a former Mars Hill Federal Way/Tacoma participant for two years; the narrative “Pastor Bubba” gives of the “church plant” now known as “Resurrection Church” is willfully deceptive and dishonest. The continued manipulation and massaging of the facts regarding the church location on Division Ave. now rebranded as “Resurrection Church” is disingenuous and ignores the fact they were unable to “raise” enough funds to keep the building they bought while still a Mars Hill satellite location until they were given misappropriated “Mars Hill Global” donations due to the dissolution of the Mars Hill church and subsequent ministries due to the endemic corruption in the church’s leadership and public sin and disgrace of its lead pastor.

It is clear many of the same issues that brought down Mars Hill (apart from Mark Driscoll and his domineering abuse) are still alive and well with the rebrand “Resurrection church.” It was not just Mark Driscoll who drove Mars Hill into the dustbin of history. Bubba was the campus pastor at the Ballard location under Mark for almost ten years. The influence is not difficult to see regarding the ignoring of facts still today and the rejection of accountability to those of us who attempted to get clear answers from bubba and his staff in the years since they became their own independent congregation.

May they eventually repent and own up to the actions that took place in December 2014 and particularly “Pastor” Bubba confess his willingness to take money over and against standing up for truth and his willingness to remain silent regarding what took place at the expense of those who did speak up about what was eventually proven true instead of fleecing the flock for his own ambitions and gain....
