Episode 23: I AM (Who are you when you look in the Mirror)

Episode 23: I AM (Who are you when you look in the Mirror)

When I wrote my new book/devotion "I Am" It was absolutely so raw and transparent! Probably one of the most transparent books I've ever written! Out of all the chapters in my new book, I think chapter 3 was one of the hardest for me to write. Not the labels, not the shedding the weight. Not all the other hardships. My past. But I need for you to understand something. My past, although ugly, made me who I am today. It forced me to grow up fast. It forced me to cling to God. It forced me to have faith in the midst of doubt, so yes, we will get into some deep things today, but know this, we are going deep for freedom’s sake. God wants you free from hurts, free from past junk, free from carrying any loads from your past that are preventing you from growing into the amazing woman He has called you to be! Because I was able to heal from those past hurts and wounds, I can write about it and share about it with you lovely women and men! Who are you when you look in the mirror? Friend, tune into today's episode!

Episode 21: Crazy Faith part 3 (A Huge Barrier to Opening Camden)

Guys! This episode did not record! The sound quality sounds awful because the podcast never recorded. My sound engineer did his best to clean it up, but it recorded on my phone. BUT did not record on my audio program! And I almost did not submit it because it wasn't perfect! But God spoke some things in this episode that absolutely blew my mind, and you are not going to want to miss!

On today's episode we are diving into one of the biggest barriers to opening the Camden restaurant and having crazy faith for God to move mountains in that area! You have got to take a listen to this episode!

Thank you Joe Wisener at Wise Works Entertainment for making my awful sound quality palatable! You are awesome!

    Episode 20: Thriving During Change

    Episode 20: Thriving During Change

We started homeschooling again today, we open a restaurant in two weeks. Our second restaurant in 13 months. Life is a bit crazy! And when God called me to wake up early to pray and devote to Him with other women in our February Prayer and Devotion Challenge, I was reluctant. I mean, I do that most days anyway, but on mornings like today, when I’m sick, my hubby’s sick, and it’s the first day of homeschooling four kids after 6 months of private school for two of them, it can get a little crazy. So I was reluctant because of that, not because I didn’t want to meet you here virtually or on Instagram at 6am each day. I love mornings after Jesus and coffee. :) So here we are, ready to seek God for the rest of the month (Monday-Friday live on Instagram at 6am), and I have to say....I’m like a giddy little school girl who has a crush on a boy. I can’t wait to see what my Father has to say to us this month in our February Prayer and Devotion Challenge! Follow along with us on Instagram Envision 31 page or on the blog!

So in today's episode we are diving into thriving in the crazy! During the crazy, I believe God wants you to thrive in His peace, His love, His faithfulness. He wants us to trust and rely on Him during seasons of change. He wants us to fix our eyes not on the problems of our life, but fix our eyes on the creator of this WORLD, who made you, who knows you by name, who cares for you and what happens to you! God loves you and is for you even in the chaos of life! Do you believe that today? Tune in today! And don't forget to subscribe, leave a review, and share with others!

    Episode 19: Shedding the Weight

    Episode 19: Shedding the Weight

So for the last year of restaurant ownership, I’ve been carrying an extra 10 pounds (give or take) for the majority of the year. My husband loves the extra “love”, but unfortunately, it has to go. Last year, I experienced a loss in a friendship. A devastating unexpected loss in a friendship that tore me to my core. Can I be real here? I was crushed. I tried. I prayed. I cried out to God. But the outcome was a lot different than my prayers. And I was devastated. I went into a bit of a depression and funk and carried the weight for most of last year.

Because of that experience, I carried a lot of weight. The weight of fear of rejection. The weight of abandonment. The weight of sadness. The weight of unforgiveness. Yes, I’m holy and love Jesus, but sometimes forgiveness doesn’t come easy to me. We all have extra “weight” that we carry.

Some of us carry the weight of shame. Some of us carry the weight of broken friendships. Some of us carry the weight of depression. Some of us carry the weight of our past or past mistakes. Some of us carry the weight of feeling not good enough, smart enough, pretty enough. And as we go through this study, I believe God wants us to shed the weight. The weight of unforgiveness. The weight of bitterness. The weight of not feeling worthy. Pretty. Because as God is trying to take us to new levels of intimacy in Him and discovering and highlighting our identities in Jesus, our eyes have to be focused on Him and not our WEIGHT! Figuratively and literally.

    Episode 18: Owning Your Chaos

    Episode 18: Owning Your Chaos

As I’m speaking today, one kid has come into my room four times, I’ve received 5 phones calls, a Marco Polo, and I’m writing without pants. That’s my reality right now. My Lululemon workout pants, that were gifted by a sweet friend, were too confining, and I just wanted to be free. AND when I don’t have pants on, my kids run the other way in embarrassment. So win win. Out of my room they go. But I’m a mom of four children, a dog, a kitten, and a guinea pig. I have a husband who for 20 plus years has worked in the restaurant industry and is weeks away from opening our 2nd restaurant. Life is a bit crazy right now. I homeschool 2 kids, and two of my kids go to a private Christian school. After homeschooling for 8 years, God and I had a little conversation about all of my gray hairs and all of the wrinkles that the last 8 years have given me. I’m sure one of my mompreneur network marketing friends has a great product for my wrinkles, BUT I’m aging gracefully. This is me. Life is crazy. My husband and I run businesses, we serve at church, and try to find balance between activities and intentional family time.

Chaos is part of life, so how in the world do you thrive when life seems so chaotic!? Tune in for today's episode!
