Racial Injustice: A Local Leader's Perspective

Racial Injustice: A Local Leader's Perspective

Another perspective on the same issue. This week, a former mayor and a board of education president speak about their experiences with and views on racial injustice. A common theme over the past 3 weeks: HAVE THE DIFFICULT CONVERSATION. We cannot sweep this under the rug or kick the can down the road. Let's fix this issue. If you still cannot see the issue and problem that is so institutionalized in this country, "[that's] not a difference of opinion, [that's] a difference in morality," as Christina Hoggan, one of our guests, said. Thank you for listening. Thank you for being part of the change.

    Racial Injustice: A Teacher's Perspective

    Racial Injustice: A Teacher's Perspective

Welcome back to Right Here. Right Now. This next episode on racial injustice focuses on the messages that high school teachers have to share with students, fellow educators, and the community at large. In similarity to last week's episode (A Student's Perspective), a recurring message was to have the difficult conversation, and to engage in voting. Once again, we encourage you to also get involved with Campaign Zero, a campaign that works to end police violence in America. Learn more by visiting https://www.joincampaignzero.org/.

We hope you find this week's episode informative and beneficial in learning about racial injustice from yet another viewpoint. Tune in again next week for our final episode of the season. Thank you for your support.
