ROUND 2, GAME 7: Vancouver Canucks vs Edmonton Oilers

ROUND 2, GAME 7: Vancouver Canucks vs Edmonton Oilers

It was an exciting end to a great series and a fantastic season. The Canucks lost 3-2 to the Oilers, after outperforming expectations all season long and bringing playoff hockey back to Vancouver. Although, they managed to hold Connor McDavid in check for the most part, the injuries were ultimately too much to overcome. We'd like to thank the Canucks for an amazing season...and also thank you, the faithful listeners of Rink Wide Vancouver. Stay tuned for some special episodes over the remainder of the playoffs and off season.

ROUND 2, GAME 5: Vancouver Canucks vs Edmonton Oilers

ROUND 2, GAME 5: Vancouver Canucks vs Edmonton Oilers

The Vancouver Canucks move one game closer to a Western Conference final appearance and take a 3-2 lead over the Edmonton Oilers. A new-look throughout the bottom 9 forwards showed a lot more jump than last game and Arturs Silovs was solid in net again, holding the Oilers to just 2 goals, thanks in large part to J.T. Miller holding Connor McDavid to just 2 shots and the PK going an incredible 5 for 5. The Canucks need to win one of their next 2 to move on.

ROUND 2, GAME 4: Vancouver Canucks vs Edmonton Oilers

ROUND 2, GAME 4: Vancouver Canucks vs Edmonton Oilers

The Canucks looked to put a strangle hold on the series in game 4 and managed to hold Connor McDavid to a single point, but the Oilers were desperate and carried a lead through most of the game. Despite some late 3rd period heroics by Brock Boeser banking it in off Dakota Joshua, the blue and orange potted the winner in the final minute to come away with the 3-2 win to even the series.
Jeff Paterson joins us live on location from Edmonton as Irfaan Gaffar hosts from the studio and we get a special visit from goalie Guru and Canucks analyst, Kevin Woodley.

Daily Canucks Shows On Demand

I’ve moved 100% over from the Athletic’s VanCast to this show. Have always appreciated JPat and now am enjoying Andrew Wadden too. They are knowledgeable, fair, and give credit where credit’s due. That’s been a breath of fresh air as the Canucks have had their resurgence under BB. Love the intersplicing of player/coach quotes in the post game show too. I’m a fan!

In Depth coverage of Canucks

Burke and Wadden do an excellent job of breaking down where the Canucks are going. Won't be back for a bit and it's well worth the time on Saturday's when the season resumes.
