Psychology student Celeste Kandel aims to explore the help-seeking behaviour of Nepali parents when it comes to mental health challenges in young children. She is conducting the research as part of her Master of Clinical Psychology at the University of the Sunshine Coast. Maternal Mental Health Awareness Week has been celebrated from 29 April to 5 May this year. Nepali community members say that the mental health of new mothers remains insufficiently prioritised.
