    107. "Salem Witch Trials" 2003 Miniseries

Look out Arthur Miller! You want historical accuracy? Cohesive storytelling? Solid early 2000’s made-for-TV acting? Did we mention the best depiction of the Salem Witch Trials in a visual media we've ever seen? Join Jeffrey and Sarah, your favorite Salem tour guides, as they review this gem of an interpretation! Perhaps inspired by the pardons issued in 2001, this depiction of the trials is a real treat. We share our thoughts, reactions, concerns--and of course--how many witch hats we awarded the flick!

    105. Witch Trials: Dropping 1692 Into History

    105. Witch Trials: Dropping 1692 Into History

We are often wrapped in the cloak of Salem, its history, its architecture, its vibe. But 1962 stands as the consummate marker of our history. But what else was going in the world at that time? What names might the puritans in Salem have heard? So join Jeffrey and Sarah, your favorite Salem tour guides as they talk 1692. Do you think Increase Mather ever saw a Shakespeare play? Did the judges have discussions about Isaac Newton and theories of gravity or planetary motion? Did Betty Paras ever meet someone who signed the Declaration of Independence? It's all possible. And oh how fun it is to speculate!

    104. The Groton "Witch"

    104. The Groton "Witch"

Okay, but she wasn't actually accused of witchcraft, nor did she really accuse anyone of witchcraft. Was Elizabeth Knapp afflicted like Betty Paris and Abigail Williams? Absolutely. But why didn't her strange behavior lead to a witch hunt like the Puritan's would see in Salem twenty years later. Join Sarah and Jeffrey, your favorite Salem tour guides, as they talk about the so-called Groton “witch.”

Amazing Podcast

I love this podcast. Not only is it really informative, but the hosts are amazing and funny. I love getting to hear about Salem, one of my favorite places, but the hosts really make the show. I’ve learned a lot from this show, but it’s always fun at the same time.

Very Helpful!

At the time of writing this review, I am in school and working on an NHD project for the Salem Witch Trials. Im not great with remembering read information, but this podcast was very helpful with giving information I could remember! Their voices have a good amount of calmness and fun in their tones, and they definitely give lots of information about the 1692 witch hunts, and surrounding information I could find no where else. Thank you so much for this podcast!
