    My Cup Runneth Over #135

    My Cup Runneth Over #135

What did David mean in Psalm 23:5 when he said "my cup runneth over?"

Over the last few weeks, I’ve endeavored to enjoy a cup of coffee at home. While I’ve had one or two slip-ups, I’ve been relatively successful. In an effort to encourage me, I’ve purchased a variety of flavored non-dairy creamers and themed mugs.

I forgot what was on the cup when it took it out of the cabinet, rinsed it, and placed it on the Keurig plate. My goal was to make half of a cup because it was pretty late at night. After the coffee brewed, I noted the sheer irony…. A half-empty cup of coffee in a cup with the words, “my cup runneth over.”

Naturally, my mind wandered and I started asking questions?

What did David mean in Psalm 23:5?

Make This Place Make Sense: The Story of Bethel #134

Make This Place Make Sense: The Story of Bethel #134

This is an edited version of a lesson shared on Sunday, January 9, 2022. The lesson chronicles the experience of Jacob, who is on a journey back to his hometown of Beersheba. God interrupts his trip in an unexpected way, building upon the promise he made to Jacob's father and grandfather. I discuss how we can use Jacob's experience to better understand the "why" of the seasons we endure.

The Psychological Tactics that Lead to Spiritual Bondage

The Psychological Tactics that Lead to Spiritual Bondage

Whatever system hurts you will generally become the target you point at when the next system makes you feel liberated. True liberation is when you are free from systems and targets! When God gives me the grace and strength to forgive the people who hurt me in my last system, HE even frees me from the system that manipulated my vulnerability. MY pain is just gonna be my testimony. Not my weapon. I’m not trying to hurt you. I’m trying to live healed.

A necessary Show

I absolutely love this podcast.
As a Young Christian man, I love the way Seasoned with Salt talks about current things I need to hear in my life . Whether it’s: Mastering Mondays, You can compete, or Exposing the culture of shame, these pods speak to me and what I’m going thru as a young Black Christian millennial . It’s Christianity for where I’m at. Thank you for this ministry. It is much appreciated.
