Selling is Serving The Courageous Entrepreneur Show

    • Management

Welcome to the Courageous Entrepreneur Show. This is the show that shares information and inspiration to help you stand out when you hate standing out, sell your services even though you hate selling, and create the thriving, successful business you dream of and deserve.
The show features interviews with entrepreneurs who’ve overcome amazing challenges to create success on their terms and experts who share insight and practical information to help you move forward with courage, confidence, and clarity.
The show is available in both video and audio formats on a variety of platforms including iTunes, I Heart Radio, in the Google Play store, on YouTube and on my website.
If you like what you hear I hope you’ll share the show with others and I hope you’ll decide to become a fan of the show on my site at Winnie Anderson.com/fans. When you do you’ll get episodes delivered right to your inbox along with information, tips, and resources to help you – the introverted, mission-driven entrepreneur - to consistently move forward to reach your biggest goals.
Those of us in service professions like coaching, consulting, healing, or other professional problem solvers start our businesses because we:
Have been given talents that we love to use and want to use all the time     Feel called to do the work we do    Are on a mission to bring about some change in the world   Have likely figured out a solution to a problem and we want to share that solution with the world But then we realize we have to figure out how to get clients so we can do that thing we love and do so well.
And it’s in that moment that we often come face to face with emotional baggage we never knew we had or baggage we thought we had tucked away in that closet in our mind.
But until we deal with this issue and recognize selling is just helping people make a choice that’s best for them, we’re left to struggle.
Struggling to make sales means we aren’t generating the income we want and need to survive or thrive.

We’re not helping ourselves, our families, or the causes we care about.
We’re stressed. We’re fearful. We can get depressed.
You get the picture.
So we’ve got to not just figure out the whole sales process. We’ve got to get comfortable with it and actually embrace it as part of serving others.
That’s right. It’s part of serving others.
And that’s what we’re going to focus on in today’s episode and why I wanted today’s guest on the show.

answers to the prospective client’s prayers.

Listen in as Darlene and I discuss:
Why solo professionals hate selling    How selling is actually serving Why sales scripts often don’t work    How to show up powerfully in a sales conversation and not come across as a jerk   Balancing the selling the relationship of working with you with the fear of rejection you may have   What may be happening when you don’t hear from a prospect after submitting a proposal and what should happen before it gets submitted   What’s a flexible offer and why that may infect be a good approach for you and your clients   The biggest mistake made in the sales conversation  Her best tip for scaling a practice And her best practice to make sure she’s building a life and not just a business As always, listen all the way to the end where I’ll share your cocktail exercise and action step for this episode.
