    37. Musicnotes “Behind the Notes” Podcast: Lucas Koehler and Jillian Shively

    37. Musicnotes “Behind the Notes” Podcast: Lucas Koehler and Jillian Shively

This week I am *on location* in the Nashville office of Musicnotes.com to talk with the hosts of their brand new podcast "Behind the Notes," Lucas Koehler and Jillian Shively!

In addition to their podcasting duties, Lucas works for Musicnotes as a Product Management Specialist and Jillian as a Content & Production Assistant. They had a lot of great insights to share from their years of helping composers (like myself) publish their music.

Composers, Arrangers, and Songwriters can visit the Musicnotes Marketplace to sell their scores on the Musicnotes website, and artists on YouTube can also look in to becoming a Musicnotes Signature Artist.

Great info for indie publishers

I’ve listened to most episodes of Selling Sheet Music and am overdue to write a review. This podcast has great information for indie composers, arrangers and publishers. Lots of great and knowledgeable guests, plus Garrett is a well prepared host. This is a great overview of sheet music publishing for folks entering the business. Highly recommend.

I couldn’t stop listening

I just discovered this and binged the first year in a week or so. There is so much great information shared, from the host, and the various guests. Plus, there is an incredible helpful website that supports the podcast, with shows, show notes, and great resources. If one is at all interested in selling sheet music, and all of its related aspects, this podcast is a must listen.
